Natalie Doucette

Toronto, July 8, 2025 – Game Plan is pleased to announce the appointment of Natalie Doucette as the Mental Health Clinical Lead.

Under the direction of the Game Plan Senior Manager and the National Chief Medical Officer for Health and Wellness, Doucette will primarily be responsible for implementing the Mental Health (MH) Strategy for High Performance Sport in Canada.  The goal of this role is to ensure that the Canadian sport system has world-class mental health programs and support.

Doucette is a bilingual, Registered Psychologist and Certified Mental Performance Consultant with experience supporting high performance athletes and teams at local, provincial and national levels. She is currently employed with the Canadian Centre for Mental Health in Sport, the Canadian Sport Institute Alberta, Team Alberta, as well as with many local teams and athletes through her private practice. She has lived experience as a varsity athlete and is very passionate about supporting athletes’ mental health throughout their performance careers and beyond.

In this part-time position, Doucette will work closely with stakeholders throughout the sport system to align mental health care and education services offered to athletes and National Sport Organizations (NSOs).
